Bring Your Own Device

BYOD made simplefor schools and parents

Your school chooses the devices. Parents order online at education pricing. Students turn up with a device that is already set up for class.

A portal built for your school

We set up an online store that carries your school's name and lists only the devices, cases and accessories you recommend. Parents log in, pick the bundle for their child's year level and pay online, with payment plan options where your school has arranged them.

  • Your school's recommended devices only
  • Education pricing from an Authorised Apple Education Reseller
  • Apple, Windows and Chromebook options if you need them
  • Cases, insurance and accessories in the same order
  • Delivered to the school or to home

How it works

Three steps from order to classroom

Student writing on an iPad with a pencil

1. Parents order

A clear bundle per year level, education pricing and a simple checkout. Parents can see what is included and why the school chose it.

Laptops set up on classroom desks

2. Devices arrive ready

Every device is enrolled in your school's management system before it ships, so it joins the Wi-Fi, gets its apps and follows your rules the moment it is switched on.

3. Learning starts on day one

Students use the same device at school and at home. Lost or broken? We repair or replace it so the student can pick up where they left off.

Management without the headaches

BYOD only works if the IT team is not drowning in set-up. With Jamf School, devices bought through the portal are enrolled automatically, apps and settings are pushed over the air, and teachers can see and guide what is on screen during a lesson.

  • Zero-touch enrolment, no hands-on set-up
  • Apps, textbooks and settings pushed over the air
  • Web filtering and classroom focus controls
  • Lock or locate a lost device remotely
  • Students install approved apps themselves
  • Clear reporting for the IT team and leadership

Questions parents ask

Frequently asked questions

Do parents have to buy through the portal?

No. The portal makes it simple and makes sure the device meets the school's specification, but schools can accept a suitable device bought elsewhere. We can still enrol it in the school's management system.

Can parents pay over time?

Finance and payment plan options can be offered through the portal. Ask us what is available for your school.

What happens if a device breaks?

Log a service request or bring it in. We handle warranty and accidental damage repairs, and can supply a loan device while we do.

What devices can the portal sell?

Apple iPad and Mac, plus Windows laptops and Chromebooks if your school prefers a mixed fleet.
